Gul Menet Kirmizi - Hatko Marshan  Ceka  

Textile and Interior Designer (MFA - DEU)

 

She was born on March 6, 1960, at Izmir, in the province of Aegean in Western Turkey. Turkish & Albanian citizen. Mrs. Kirmizi visited several European countries studying painting till 1985. She went to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with her husband who was a professor in King Saud University, Riyadh. She became fluent in Arabic language and became the palace manager and curator of art collections of H.R.H. Prince Badr bin Abd al-Muhsin bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud and H.R.H. Princess al-Bandari bint Khalid bin Abd al-Aziz Al  Saud (Daughter of the Ex-King Khalid) at Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and then enrolled in the University of Riyadh for further studies of Arabic art and literature. During these years, she met and  corresponded with world's most famous art experts, and continued to develop her expertise on art collections. Coming back to Turkey she was accepted to Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Textile Design, Izmir Turkey. She graduated as the first out of forty students in her class. She received her M.F.A.Degree from 9 Eylul University. Graduated from Anatolian University Justice College. Giving "Digital Design" courses as an "Invited Professor" at  "Polis University", Tirana, Albania, Mrs. Kirmizi also continues to be very involved with wearable arts, "Haute Couture" textiles & Interior Projects as the Design Coordinator & Projects Manager at Faisal Al-Saadawy Arts & Trading Est., Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
